A Hiker's Journal
When I first started hiking, it wasn't even a thought to start a journal. I had my pictures on my phone and shared them in albums on Facebook. That was enough, then. As I was researching trails and hiking supplies, I came across a link for a hiking journal. It was something that I kept in the back on mind. After our 3rd or 4th hike, I started writing things down. I remembered the journal. I googled hiking journal and found hundreds. There weren't too many that were aesthetically pleasing to me. They all had similar formats but the other features that I wanted for my journal. I wanted some pockets for maps and pamphlets from trails and parks. Nothing really had what I wanted. I did end up purchasing one. It definitely is not my favorite but it had most of what I was looking for.
I have a dedicated page for all the trails I want to hike. Some of these are more difficult and will have to work up to them, but they are goals I am working towards.
Trails to Hike Journal Page
The next page is my hiking log. This is simplified list of the trails that I have hiked and at the end of the year, I can easily total all the miles.

The next pages are the actual journal part. It is handwritten each time in my journal. I know this sounds like it takes a lot of time and sometimes it can but the part that I like most is that I can modify the parts to each hike. I have one side for pictures, stickers, stamps (I will do another post on The Passport to National Parks) and doodles. The other side is for all the information about the trail and the hike itself.

I am sharing my printable journal page on my website. Please take a moment to grab yours here.
